Farmer & Frenchman - Hotel Feature

Are you tired of your busy, cyclical routine? Are you craving some quality time away to clear your mind, read a good book, stretch your body, and fill it with good food and wine? Or are you looking for a fun cozy place for a weekend away with the girls, or maybe a romantic place to propose? If you found yourself saying yes, then you need to book a night or weekend with Farmer & Frenchman in Henderson, Kentucky, pronto.

First off, if you live near by or are just stopping in, you can simply come to Farmer & Frenchman for the day to have a great, locally sourced meal and enjoy their exceptional wine list or you can choose to stay longer in one of their ‘cabins’.

The cabins, or petite maisons are incredibly welcoming and the attention to detail is truly spectacular. When you arrive for your stay. simply head onto the deck and into the restaurant, they will get you all settled into your cabin and answer any questions you may have.

The parking is convenient and free and the entire grounds, including cabins, restaurant, venue, and vineyards are wheelchair accessible. The cabins themselves are secure and accessed via a door keypad code. Upon arriving at the cabin, you will be wooed by the rustic, chic style of muted tones, rich texture and charming details.

Each cabin is capable of sleeping 4 people (2 in bedroom and 2 on the pull out couch), and is outfitted with a small kitchenette and luxurious bathroom. I will say that bathroom privacy may be an issue for some people as it is not completely sealed off near the ceiling. That doesn’t really bother me and I loved the local toiletries they provided so much that I went the next day and bought so more to take home with me.

Make sure to check out out photos below (you can click on them to make them larger) and a full tour of the cabin can be found on my Instagram here.

The cabins can be booked online via Airbnb.

And if you’ve never booked through Airbnb before, then you’re in luck. Simply click here to sign up and you’ll receive $40 off your first booking and a $15 credit if you ever choose to do an Airbnb Experience worth $50 or more.

After you’ve settled into the cabin, or if you are just coming for the day, it’s time to explore the grounds and enjoy a glass of wine. The grounds are beautiful and great for photos and if wine isn’t your thing, well, a full bar awaits you! No matter what you do, make sure you work up an appetite, because the food at Farmer & Frenchman is exceptional. The menu is mostly composed of Italian comfort food and everything we tasted was so on point.

Make sure you ask your waiter what wines they would suggest to pair with your meal selection and set aside time to sit and chat, because you’ll want to! The atmosphere both inside the restaurant and outside on the deck is relaxed and makes you want to settle in. We chose to sit out on the deck and we are so happy we did because there was a perfect Kentucky sunset on display.

Don’t forget, the restaurant is closed Sunday and Monday and if you are coming on the weekend make sure to make a dinner reservation by calling, 270-748-1856. Honestly, I was surprised how many people were there for dinner on a weeknight.

Overall, I highly recommend Farmer & Frenchman for both a beautiful, Italian-esque meal or a weekend away. You really can’t go wrong with this place! If you have any questions, just drop the in the comments section, or chat box!
